Shivaji Maharaj built Padmagad, Rajkot and Sarjekot to protect Sindhudurga. Sarjekot stands at the mouth of Kolamb creek. In monsoon the Maratha ships were anchored in this creek. Shivaji Maharaj built this fort in 1668.

The main entrance of the fort is small but decorative with an arch.
There is a bastion near the entrance. There are houses inside the fort
walls. If we walk along the houses, we reach the citadel, where the
ramparts and bastions are intact. The entrance to this citadel is
destroyed. There is a well, a Tulsi Vrindavan and stairs to climb the
walls of the citadel. The fort walls facing the sea are also in good
condition.
Ways To Reach :
From Malvan, ST buses ply to Sarjekot, which is around 4 km. We can also
hire a rickshaw. We can reach the fort in 10 minutes from the bus stop.
